Turkish Businessperson Visa

If you currently hold a Turkish Businessperson visa in the UK, you may apply to extend it. This allows you to:

  • Continue operating your business in the UK or start a new one.
  • Help manage an existing business in the UK.

Eligibility
To extend your visa, you must meet specific conditions:

  • Hold a valid Turkish Businessperson visa.
  • Follow UK immigration laws without any violations.
  • Continue running a viable business.
  • Be able to cover your share of business costs.
  • Ensure your share of the profits is sufficient to support you and your family without needing additional employment.

If you’re part of a partnership or company, you need to show that you still actively manage the business.

Who Can Join You?
New applications for the Turkish Businessperson visa are no longer accepted, but children under 21 (dependants) can still apply to join you.

Documents Required
When applying to extend your visa, you’ll need to provide:

  • A valid passport or identification document.
  • Proof that you can support and house yourself and your dependants, such as bank statements or payslips from the last six months.
  • Proof of living costs, like a tenancy agreement, utility bills, council tax statements, or other related documents.
  • Proof of state benefits you’ve received in the UK.
  • Your biometric residence permit showing your Turkish Businessperson visa.

Your passport must have at least one blank page for the visa.

Business Documentation
You need to provide evidence of actively running your business. Depending on your situation, this may include:

If You’re Continuing an Existing Business/Partnership:

  • Insurance documents.
  • Business accounts prepared by a qualified accountant.
  • HMRC documents, including proof of tax payments.
  • Qualifications or experience relevant to running the business.
  • Financial evidence, such as bank statements, overseas money transfers, or loans.
  • Documents confirming any third-party financial support for your business.
  • A written document outlining the terms of your involvement in the business.

If You’re Establishing a New Business/Partnership:

  • A business plan.
  • Evidence of your own investment in the new business.
  • Documents for your business premises.
  • Partnership agreements, if applicable.

Extending Your Visa
You can apply to extend your Turkish Businessperson visa if:

  • Your business is still operational.
  • You can continue covering your share of business costs.
  • Your share of profits remains enough to support yourself and your family without needing another job.

Each family member, including children who have turned 21, will need to apply separately.

Fees
There is no fee to apply for an extension of your Turkish Businessperson visa
