You need a job offer from a licensed religious organization in the UK. This organization must hold a specific type of sponsor license, a T2 Minister of Religion Visa sponsor licence.They will assess your suitability for the position and, if successful, provide you with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS):
This document acts as your visa application’s confirmation of eligibility. It contains details like your offered position, salary, and sponsor’s information. Essentially, it shows the UK government that you have a genuine job offer and the sponsoring organization is approved to hire foreign religious ministers.

You can submit your application up to 3 months before your start date as shown on the CoS. Processing typically takes 3 weeks outside the UK, with an option for faster processing for an additional fee. Remember, these are just the initial steps, and you’ll need to meet other eligibility requirements as well.

Once approved, you can stay in the UK for up to 3 years and 1 month, or as specified on your certificate of sponsorship plus 14 days. After 5 years, you may be eligible to apply for permanent settlement in the UK, granting you the right to live, work, and study in the country indefinitely. Remember to submit your application for permanent settlement before your visa expires.
