Children Born Inside the UK to Non-British Parents
If a child is born in the UK to non-British parents, they do not automatically acquire British citizenship. The child’s immigration status will depend on the visa or residency status of their parents. Parents can apply for a visa for the child, often under a family or dependent visa route, to regularize the child’s stay in the UK.
